Mike Foote
relocated to Eugene, Oregon in 1996 to respond to the need for
entry-level housing. He entered an agreement to purchase 65
acres on the western fringe of Eugene, annexed the property
into the city, rezoned the property from agricultural to residential,
and began the master planning for the subdivision now known
as Avalon Village.
A visit
to Avalon Village is worth a thousand words. You instantly feel
the comfort, community and craftsmanship. The homes are spacious,
have great floor plans and are beautifully landscaped. New schools,
parks and shopping also began to develop with the influx of
housing following the inception of Avalon Village. Centex and
DR Horton, two of the nation’s largest homebuilders, have
followed Foote’s lead into West Eugene.
Mike Foote’s
hands-on experience in all aspects of the planning of new home
subdivisions insures his homeowners that they have become a
part of a lasting and valuable community that will only improve
with age and maturity.
